Ministries at GBC
From nursery through elementary, we strive to build a solid Biblical foundation. For Sunday School (2 years old-6th grade), we use The Gospel Project which does a great job of showing how all of scripture points to Jesus as our Savior. During Children’s Church on Sundays (2 years old-3rd grade), we are learning the whole Bible in order.
On Wednesdays (6:00 pm) we have DELTA Kids for children 3 years old through 6th grade. Children study God’s word and earn badges for scripture memory and life skills. Contact the church if you need transportation.
During the summer, we host VBS, partner with Graceworks at local parks, and have several special family events.
Youth meet during Sunday School, and then join corporate worship.
On Tuesday evenings (6pm), youth (Jr. and Sr. high) meet for Bible study and fellowship. Our focus is to help our youth apply God’s Word in their lives. Youth participate in hikes, bike rides, and bonfires, as they build friendships and seek after Christ together.
We help women build friendships, encourage women in spiritual growth, and reach out to women in our community with the love of Jesus.
The BYKOTA Sunday School class meets Sunday mornings. This is an inter-generational group of women who support one another. On Sunday evenings (6pm), ladies meet for Bible Study.
On the second Friday of every month (6pm), women gather for our Ladies’ Book Club. This is a wonderful time of fellowship.
There is a small group for women on Thursdays (1pm) during the school year. This Bible study is especially focused on helping new believers read and understand Scripture. They meet in the Sikkenga’s home.
We greatly value the responsibility that men have as the leaders in their homes. Men meet for a Bible study on Monday nights (7pm) as well as prayer time on Wednesday mornings (6:30am).
On Monday evenings during football season, they meet to watch football & fellowship.
On the last Saturday of the month (8am), men from many area churches meet together at Grandview for Bible study, fellowship, and a hearty breakfast.
