Emilian Mihet
Senior Pastor

Pastor Emilian was born in Romania and immigrated to the United States when he was 14. He and his wife Mari and two children moved to Anchorage in December of 2022.

Emilian holds a BA in pure/theoretical mathematics with minors in chemistry and history, from the University of California at San Diego. He also holds a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary with emphases in New Testament exegesis and pastoral missions.

He became a believer around the age of ten, and felt the call to pastoral ministry at about age 18. He has served by teaching, preaching, leading, shepherding, making disciples, evangelizing, counseling, and equipping saints for the expansion of His Kingdom.

I have been on staff at Grandview part-time since August of 2015. Scott and I moved to Anchorage in the summer of 2014. Since then, God has added five kiddos to our family. Discipling these little people is our greatest calling.

I was raised as a missionary kid in Ecuador, putting my faith in Jesus at the age of 3. At 12 years old, God called me to children’s ministry. My prayer is to see children at a young age have a strong Biblical foundation and encounter Christ!

I studied elementary education in college and taught 5th grade and ESL for 5 years before coming to Grandview.

We enjoy homeschooling, hiking, snow machining, visiting local playgrounds, dip-netting, and foraging berries and morel mushrooms.
